Welcome to our family blog, its been a while since I have sat at the keyboard and typed out my thoughts for a blog… in fact if you want a number its been three years and another baby. Life has been busy, but I think that is true for most people, there are things happening all the time and if I don’t take a minute to sit and write some of it down I will blink and it will be over. So here I am once again, although this time (unlike my other blogs) it wasn’t my idea, it was Dave’s. But to be honest, that’s all a bit familiar for a first paragraph, let me take a step back and perhaps even introduce myself.
My name is Em and I am a mum, a pastor, a teacher and a general jack of all trades and as far as this blog goes I am the keyboard warrior… of the wholesome, and hopefully interesting kind. My hubby Dave soon turns 40 and to celebrate instead of a party, because it’s just not his style, we are going on a road trip! We are packing our three kids into the land cruiser, hitching up the camper trailer and heading north. It’s not our first camping adventure, but we thought it might be fun to start documenting them. This time we are headed up through the guts via the ‘Kidman Way’ doing all the fun stuff on the Gold Coast and then heading back down via the coast. There will be big things, red dirt, some sand and hopefully some excellent family memories made. My hope is that this little page and our new Instagram (@themostcuriousgeorgefam) will give me a chance to stop and savor some of the good stuff, document our adventures and leave a little piece of the trip behind for our kids and us to look back on in years to come.
